This page lists the online modules that we would like you to choose from when you complete the Day 1 activities.
If you have not completed any online courses about teaching coding and computational thinking before, we highly recommend that you complete the CSER Digital Technologies: Foundations F-6 MOOC for the Day 1 activities.
If you have already completed the F-6 Digital Technologies: Foundations course, then we recommend that you choose one of the other modules that are offered by the CSER Digital Technologies team, depending on what you are most interested in. These modules are F-6 Digital Technologies: Extended, Years 7 & 8 Digital Technologies: Next Steps Making Apps and Years 9 & 10 Digital Technologies: Explore!
If you have already completed all of the CSER Digital Technologies MOOCs, we recommend that you complete one of the online modules created by the Australian Computing Academy (ACA), which are hosted on the Grok Learning platform.
The ACA modules that we recommend are: DT Challenge Blockly – Chatbot, DT Challenge Blockly – Turtle and DT Mini Challenge – Intro to micro:bit (Blockly). There are also ACA modules that use Python (a General-Purpose Programming language) instead of Blockly (a Visual Programming language). You can view all of the ACA modules (including the Python and Blockly modules) from this page.
When you are on the web page of your chosen ACA course, please go to the Log In link, select Use SSO, click the NSW Department of Education logo and then login with your department account.
