3rd & 4th Grade Field Hockey

Overview:

The 3rd and 4th grade team is focused on helping players learn fundamental field hockey skills. All the players are encouraged to learn the game and have fun playing with friends. There are no tryouts and no cuts.  Games are played against other teams in the Bitty Badgers division of the South Jersey Youth Field Hockey league. 

Schedule:

Practices start mid to late August and are held two nights per week. There are 8 games played over 6 weeks starting in early September. Games are on Saturdays between 8:00am – 2:00 pm at Total Turf in Pitman or Gloucester Township Park. 

Cost: Fee for this program is $115. 

Equipment:

• Field hockey stick* (free sticks available to borrow if needed)

• Shin guards

• Mouth guard 

• Cleats 

* Players this age will likely need a 28″ – 33″ stick, depending on height. Stick should be hip height.  We recommend going to HerSport in Cherry Hill for help with selecting the right gear for your player.
