Synopsis
In 2008, the senior team captured first place in the Tier 1 Hiron Division with a 5-1 record. As a note, this was reached due to a technical win against Pickering High School, who fielded an ineligible player in the season opener.
The senior team played in its first LOSSA Championship against Donald A. Wilson, another relatively new team to LOSSA. This game was played on a grass field at Oshawa Civic, but was better known as the mud bowl, as the field had very little grass and mostly mud, slowing both teams. At halftime, the score was 1 - 0 for Wilson. However, HT could not stop Wilson's running game and lost to a very strong Donald A. Wilson 23 - 0. This started a rivalry between HT and Wilson that would last for years.
