How to Enter the Reflections Program at Hayfield SS

1. Review the rules and download the entry form OR ask the front office for a paper copy.  Fillable Entry Form (PDF Format)
   
   

2. Create your orginal work of art using the theme "What My Culture Means to Me"

3.  Complete the entry form, including the Artist Statement.  Each Category has unique requirements, so please read the guidelines carefully before preparing and submitting your entry.

4. Submit your entry form and original work of art via email OR in-person.

• Physical forms  and original works of art may be turned in at the front office at school, and should be dropped off no later than Friday, November 13, 2026 at 3:00 pm.

• Electronic forms and original works of art may be turned in via Email or DropBox, and should be sent no later than Sunday, November 15, 2026 at 11:59 pm.

• Late entries will not be accepted. We encourage you to submit early, to allow time for us to review submissions and ensure that all information is included.

PHYSICAL SUBMISSIONS

• Leave entries and forms in the box labeled "HSS PTSA Reflections Program" located in the front office.  Entries will be returned to students in the Spring.

• All entries must be labeled with the student's full name and grade level (on the back).

• After leaving your entry in the front office, send an email to  reflections@hssptsa.org so we can make sure your submission is picked up.

• Physical submissions must be dropped off to the front office, so please be mindful of their hours and don't wait until the last minute to turn in your entry!

EMAIL SUBMISSIONS (files 10 MB or less)

• • Email Subject: "26-27 Reflections Entry_[Student's First Initial + Last Name]"

  • Attachments must be named using the following format:

    • LastName-FirstName_Category

    • Example: Rivera-Elena_Visual Arts.jpg

• For email submissions, please use a non-school email address. FCPS student accounts (@fcps.net) cannot send emails outside the FCPS organization. If you don't have your own email account, please ask a parent or guardian's to send it for you.

DROPBOX SUBMISSIONS (for files larger than 10 MB)

• • Attachments must be named using the following format:

    • LastName-FirstName_Category
