Rodney Lusk
Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, Franconia District
Supervisor Rodney L. Lusk was sworn in as Fairfax County Franconia District Supervisor (formerly Lee District) in January of 2020 and is the first African American male elected to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.
As a resident of the Franconia District, he is a strong supporter of Hayfield Secondary School and currently serves as Chair of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Public Safety and Security Committee, Vice-Chair of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Health and Human Services Committee, a member of the Successful Children and Youth Policy Team, Board Chair of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, and Co-Chair of the Northern Virginia Regional Commission’s Total Military Partnership, which supports veterans, military spouses, and their families.
Prior to being elected as Franconia District Supervisor, Rodney served 30 years as a Fairfax County employee. His accomplishments during that time include delivering human services along the Historic Richmond Highway Corridor, working for two former members of the Board of Supervisors, and serving as the National Marketing Director for the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority. Rodney also served as a member of the Fairfax County Planning Commission and the Fairfax County Park Authority Board.
Supervisor Lusk’s achievements while in office include 1) launching the Workforce Innovation Skills Hub (W.I.S.H.) in the Hybla Valley Community Center, 2) authoring the Board Matter that led to the creation of the Co-Responder Program, which pairs a police officer with a trained clinician to assist 911 calls involving individuals with mental health and/or substance abuse disorder, and 3) supporting the creation of affordable housing for qualifying residents and seniors. He also authored the Board Matter that established the Accelerate Breakfast, which connects early-stage companies in Fairfax County with capital investment. During the COVID-19 pandemic, his office coordinated with Fairfax County government agencies and local non-profits to distribute over three million pounds of food, the largest food distribution to date in Fairfax County.
Now in his second term, his policy objectives remain unwavering. Rodney continues to prioritize police reform, providing economic mobility opportunities for residents of the Franconia District, improving manufactured housing communities, initiating the revitalization of Springfield, and addressing the County’s affordable housing crisis.
Rodney is a native Virginian, a Franconia District resident of over 25 years, and a graduate of the University of Virginia. Rodney and his wife Jacquelyn are proud parents to their two daughters, Addison and Sheridan who are both Hayfield Secondary School graduates!

Alexis Feeney Tallman
Managing Director, Health Initiative at The Rockefeller Foundation and Hayfield Community Member
Alexis Feeney Tallman is a member of the Hayfield community and serves as the Managing Director of the Health Initiative at The Rockefeller Foundation. As a former FCPS student, her connection to the arts began early, nurtured by creative writing, photography, band, and studio art classes. In college, she deepened her appreciation for the performing arts while working summers at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, where she gained exposure to a wide range of musical and dance genres. Although her professional career led her outside the arts, Alexis finds joy in watching her own children explore choir, theater, dance, and band today.
A proud member of the Hayfield community since 2014, Alexis has strong ties to the schools her children have attended (Hayfield and Lane Elementary) and looks forward to both joining Hayfield Secondary School next fall. The community holds special meaning for her, making the opportunity to serve as a Reflections judge particularly meaningful. Her inspiration for participating as a judge traces back to her own childhood memories of entering the Reflections contest, an experience that left a lasting impression.
Outside of her professional and volunteer work, Alexis enjoys running, spending time with her family, and has recently taken up tap dancing!
