ONLINE BOOKS

The primary aim of DOAB is to increase discoverability of Open Access books. Academic publishers are invited to provide metadata of their Open Access books to DOAB. Metadata will be harvestable in order to maximize dissemination, visibility and impact. Aggregators can integrate the records in their commercial services and libraries can integrate the directory into their online catalogues, helping scholars and students to discover the books. The directory is open to all publishers who publish academic, peer reviewed books in Open Access and should contain as many books as possible, provided that these publications are in Open Access and meet academic standards.

Promoting free access to medical Books (free books4doctors) available online, free and in full-text. The unrestricted access to scientific knowledge - the new standard in medical publishing - will have a major impact on medical practice.

We are on a journey to democratise knowledge. The Open Access paradigm is the only model which allows that. Content is accessible for free, on all electronic devices - no matter where its downloaded and read, from Burkina Faso, to Romania or in Silicon Valley. Providing freely available, accessible dynamic academic content.

ONLINE JOURNALS

PubMed comprises more than 22 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. Citations may include links to full-text content from PubMed Central and publisher web sites.

IndMED–Indian Medical Journals

IndMED indexes Indian Biomedical journals. It is accessible from (http://indmed.nic.in) to the medical professionals, free of cost. The database aims at covering peer-reviewed journals from 1985 onwards. To supplement IndMED with full text of articles, a resource was developed to host full-text of indexed Indian biomedical journals. This medIND portal (medIND) is accessible free of cost to the medical community in India as well those outside the country.

Directory of Open Access Journals is a service that provides access to quality controlled Open Access Journals. The Directory aims to be comprehensive and cover all open access scientific and scholarly journals that use an appropriate quality control system, and it will not be limited to particular languages or subject areas. The aim of the Directory is to increase the visibility and ease of use of open access scientific and scholarly journals thereby promoting their increased usage and impact.

Free Medical Journals is a service that provides access to Open Access Journals.

Trials is an open access, peer-reviewed, online journal that encompasses all aspects of the performance and findings of randomized controlled trials. We publish articles on general trial methodology as well as protocols, commentaries and traditional results papers - regardless of outcome or significance of findings.

Access Medicine Consortium

1. The name of the consortium is “Access Medicine Consortium” and the content would be available through Access Medicine homepage https://accessmedicine.mhmedical.com

2. This consortium is restricted only to Private or Self-supported Medical Colleges under the jurisdiction as decided by the nodal institute/ organization.

3. Consortium member institute can join individually paying discounted licensing price for Access Medicine through McGraw Hill’s Authorized channel partner- International subscription Agency (ISA), Lucknow. All pricing currencies mentioned in this proposal are in US $ only. The invoicing and Payment can be remitted in equivalent Indian Rupees (INR) only through our authorized Indian subscription agent- International Subscription Agency. GST and other taxes need to be paid by the institute as applicable under Govt. of India Tax rules.

4. Consortium price would be applicable only for the member institute participating this consortium. McGraw Hill will NOT restrict any content to the members and unlimited access along with the latest update will be provided to all the member institute.

5. Post sales services including training, Usage data, MARC records, Individual URL, List of Titles and all updated information etc. would be provided by our Authorized Channel Partner – ISA in coordination to McGraw Hill.

6. The above special offer for complete package is generated against the special approval, only for consortium members and is not applicable for any other Medical colleges /Hospital/Medical R & D institutes across India.

7. McGraw Hill does not impose any extra platform fee for accessing the purchased content for the consortium member institute.

8. There is no restrictions on accessing/printing /downloading the content, images, diagrams, Figures etc. All new titles/updated editions/ multimedias/functionalities added to the content are complimentary exclusive to the member institute without any extra charges.

An Institutional License Agreement (ILA) shall need to be signed between McGraw- Hill and your esteemed institute after we receive the purchase order from you for the electronic products.

National Medical Library’s Electronic Resources in Medicine (ERMED) Consortium is an initiative taken by DGHS & MOHFW to develop nationwide electronic information resources in the field of medicine for delivering effective health care. 70 state and centrally funded Government Institutions including all AIIMS are selected as its members. The members are divided into Level-I and Level-II on the basis of number of end-users in different institutes. There is no membership fee charged from members and the MOHFW has provided funds required for the purchase of electronic journals under the NML-ERMED consortium project. The consortium is coordinated through its headquarter set up at the NML.
