Founded in 1993, the High School of Economics and Finance combines financial career education with a college preparatory program that prepares students for the future. Integrating rigorous instruction that supports literacy with opportunities to apply these skills in business settings is what gives HSEF alumni an advantage when pursuing post secondary schooling and employment. HSEF partners with organizations and companies that provide students the opportunity to learn about the business industry hands on. Whether as part of the curriculum within the school building, or during the internship and work based learning opportunities provided by after school, HSEF aims to uphold its mission to educate and empower all students.
To educate, empower, and enable all students to become caring, contributing citizens who can succeed in an ever-changing world. Ensure students of all race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, immigration status, socio-economic status, appearance, size, weight, age, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation and disability are supported and protected.
To provide a rigorous world-class academic program for all students in economics and finance.
To graduate students with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a variety of career pathways in the financial industry and prepared to attend college.
To include the participation of the family in the development of the whole student.
