You could become diabetic if you are preexposed to incessant glucose spikes or if you suffer a viral infection which affects the pancreas which causes lack of insulin and hence diabetes. The later leads to insulin resistance which further puts you at risk of having diabetes.
There is a difference between these types of diabetes. One is known as type one or juvenile onset diabetes or insulin dependant diabetes. type one is commonly as a result of autoimmune response in the pancreas due to a viral infection or anything that may trigger that response.
However, type two diabetes is widely known to be caused by;
1. Genetics
2. Lifestile
3. Insulin resistance
People with Pcos and those who eat unhealthy food have got a very good chance of becoming insulin resistant and hence may eventually have diabetes.
What is pcos?
