Mission of JROTC

To motivate young people to be better citizens

Purpose

The JROTC program is a four-year high school course with regular classes during school hours.  The curriculum takes students beyond normal classroom learning.  It builds the discipline, confidence, and belief that they can do whatever they set their minds to.  For many students, the results can be dramatic.  JROTC is not a military recruitment program, nor are students obligated to enter the military.  However, we do use the military structure as a vehicle to develop and improve students' self-discipline, confidence, and pride in ways that other classes don't offer.
