Does anyone else still have access to the older version? Cause I do, and I have some interesting things I've noticed, while using the old and new version at the same time, but in two different devices.

4- PRO/CONS - I genuinely think having access to both versions is the best option, because one complements the other. The are many great features in the older version that were removed in the new update, which definitely were a big loss.

5- Units comparison: in the new Version, the Russian course has only 68 units, 5 sessions. it's a very brief course that will leave you about halfway through fluency, around the B1 level. The older version, has A LOT MORE units, 95 units total, 7 sessions, and way more exercises.

6- XP Boost: Since having access to the older version is kinda of a bug, I actually get double XP boosts everyday, one in each device. And in the older version, mine still expires at midnight, instead of expiring at 6pm like in the new version.

Dear anyone,

Your duolingo forum registration isn't automaticaly transferred to duome forum so in order to join duome forums you need to register with your existing or any other username and email; in any case it's advised that you choose a new password for the forum.

so I use the duolingo app version 3.106.5 (the last one with the normal design) and since recently it no longer works properly, for example you have a skill that's at 0/4, you do a lesson and it goes to 1/4 but then immediately reverts to 0/4 tho it still registers in the system that you've done a lesson and apparently extends the streak as well

I tried version 4.18.4 (which is already with health) and there it still doesn't work so apparently there's no way to avoid health on the app anymore (except maybe downloading the cracked duolingo plus app? have to try that)

Works so far without the new path/snake (old tree design), even the path was finally rolled out on the duolingo com Web portal to all school classrooms (old design flag is gone in the school settings) on 4. January 2023.

If you have access to a device with the required minimum iOS version, you can download the new version of an app to it. Now go to your old device and a cloud icon with a download icon might appear next to the app. Try downloading it. It will offer an older version if one is available. If this is an app that uses a service (e.g., a streaming media provider) there is no guarantee the old version will actually work with the service but I have found some old versions are available and provide partial functionality.

I believe there is a tale of two learning paths and it is spread over different device types. Version 1 is doable. Version 2, which hit my iPhone first and then my iPad is also making me think I need to move on to another learning medium. I had gone back and restarted the older versions for a refresher. Now, even at level 1, I need to know all verb tenses. Not sure how new people are impacted.

Open the App Store on this older device of yours and then tap on the Purchased button. As great as older iOS devices are, they are older and they are usually slower so this won't be quick. Especially not as you need to wait until the complete list of your previously purchased apps is displayed.

Speaking of newer setups, though, it looks as if you can only use this download trick with apps that you have previously bought. If this older device is your sole iOS one then that's true, but if you have a newer one as well, you can do something more.

Buy it on the newer device and then it's in your Purchased history on all your iOS devices. And that means also on your older one. Give it a few minutes for the information to propagate through the App Store but thereafter you should be able to do this download trick and get the previous version that works with your older device.

A bit off topic but here is a support post I made regarding updating older iWork programs on a Mac. The Mac App store has a bug for older MacOSs whereby older iWork versions are advised they require updating, then presenting a splash page to either try or purchase iWork, but then going to the App Store and just locking up (spinning upper left swirl). Anyone that has recently had an old computer they are reformatting and updating may benefit from this:

I recently had to wipe and then update a late 2008 MBP 15", which took me to MacOS High Sierra. Unfortunately Apple does not provide a way to update iWork even when I re-installed it from my original disks. It kept giving me an error to update and then hanging in the current Mac App store, such as you described.

There is a way to update the older iWorks via update 9.3 which was released on 2012 (Apple's latest support note is dated Dec 19, 2016). This will bring iWork Pages up to v4.3, Numbers 2.3 and Keynote 5.3. That is as far as I could get, but these versions are stable and can open older windows format documents. Running this also stopped the repeated requests to update.

Sorry, the response for this got buried in spam. I tried the installs fresh. I had been using an older version of the deck with the audio, and then my phone had issues and I ended up just starting over completely. I deleted all the decks from my account and reinstalled everything just to get a fresh start.

I am leaving duolingo after 633 days, new changes (refill) makes it difficult to continue am in search for an alternate app. Please suggest

some app who dont make frequent changes to their learning module.

I'm a little confused on your set up, I see that you are using the latest version of 1Password in your browser which is great but I think you may have an older version of the 1Password desktop app. Can you double check the version for me, the latest is 1Password 8.

Luckily, you can download older versions of apps on your iPhone in several safe and legal ways. And it's far easier than you might think! So, here are all the options you have to download old versions of apps.

This is the easiest option available to download an older version of an app, but one that you may not know about. That's because the App Store doesn't clarify whether an older version of an app exists.

On the app page, it's common to come across a message telling you that an app Requires iOS 13.0 or later, leading you to believe that your phone is incompatible. But this isn't always true. You can ignore that message and proceed to hit the download button anyway. When you do, the App Store will display a message asking if you want to download an older version of the app.

If this doesn't work for you, you will see the following message: This application requires iOS 13.0 or later. In this case, there are a couple of other solutions you can try to solve the problem of how to download an older version of an app. But if you want to learn more about iOS before continuing, you can read our explanation of Apple's iPhone software.

The second option for how to download older versions of apps is to find them in your Purchased app history. This works well if you've recently reset your iPhone to factory settings, only to find out that some of the previously installed apps now require a later version of iOS to work.

To test this method, we used an iPhone XS to log into our iCloud account. We then downloaded an app that we knew we couldn't download on to our older device. Once we got the app, we went back to a spare iPhone 5S and downloaded the same app from our Purchased list, and it worked!

But with how easy it is to see if an older app version is available, it's well worth giving these methods a go. If you suspect another issue stopping you from getting an app, don't worry, as there are several other fixes for apps not downloading on your iPhone that you can try.

With how Apple has designed the App Store, you can easily think that your favorite app is no longer compatible with your iPhone. But don't be fooled! Several apps offer older versions that will work on your old iPhone, and they're incredibly easy to get.

Always try the regular download method from the App Store first to see if an older version exists. You can also get any app that you've downloaded in the past by going to your Purchased list. And if all else fails, try downloading the app using a newer iPhone, and then find and install it from your purchase history.

Previous versions of iOS would also move old copies of updated apps to the trash when syncing. This no longer happens when updating apps on your iPhone in iOS 9. The newer versions on your device will now overwrite the older copy in your iTunes library. Previous versions of apps are still moved to the Trash when updating them in iTunes on your computer. 006ab0faaa
