Learn yoga. Practise deeply. Take it with you.
I was first exposed to yoga around 2005 and, over the years, had the opportunity to learn under a guru who lived in a village near Khajuraho.
In 2014, at his insistence, I completed a three-year formal education in Yogic Sciences and Naturopathy.
Life took me in other directions afterwards, including into IT, but yoga never really left.
After 2021, I began teaching people who stayed at Hotel Lakeside and wanted to learn.
There was a difficult period in my own life when I was struggling badly with sleep and my general wellbeing. Eventually, I returned seriously to practices I had learned over the years — particularly pranayama and other yogic practices.
What followed was deeply meaningful to me. I experienced, for myself, the value of returning to regular practice.
I no longer wanted to keep these practices only for myself.
I started sharing them with whoever came to me wanting to learn.
I practise. I learn. I share what I have learned.
Not as a promise or a quick solution, but as something we gradually take greater responsibility for through our own practice.
The purpose is not to collect as many techniques as possible.
It is to learn how to practise correctly, understand what you are doing, and gradually make the practice part of your own life.
Learn → Practise → Understand → Deepen → Integrate
Yogic breathing, Nadi Shodhana and progressive breath practices, with Kumbhaka introduced according to individual readiness.
Building familiarity with the body through conscious movement, stillness, flexibility and controlled practice.
Surya Namaskar A and B, together with selected practices from the Primary Series — with attention to movement, breath, strength, control and steadiness.
Selected yogic kriyas, Bhramari, Udgīt, mantra and Om practices.
The important thing is not how many practices you collect, but how well you learn to practise.
In the beginning, learning something new naturally requires effort.
With repetition, practice becomes familiar. With familiarity comes greater control. And gradually, what once required conscious effort can become natural.
For me, accomplishment is not about doing more, holding longer or pushing harder.
It is being able to practise correctly without unnecessary effort — and experiencing the practice as relieving rather than forced.
Learn → Repeat → Improve → Deepen → Accomplish → Integrate
A small-group residential yoga programme at Hotel Lakeside, beside Shivsagar Lake and within walking distance of the temples of Khajuraho.
Over eight days and seven nights, we practise progressively, eat simple home-style meals, rest, explore the place and give ourselves enough space to actually absorb what we are learning.
Hotel Lakeside has been our family’s home and guesthouse since 1988.
This is not a retreat centre created for tourists. It is a family-run place beside Shivsagar Lake, with a terrace, garden and the temples of Khajuraho just a short walk away.
The setting is part of the experience: practice, food, conversation, quiet time, nature and the chance to experience Khajuraho at a slower pace.
Between practices, there is time to experience the place itself — the temples, the landscape, the villages, the hills and the quieter side of Khajuraho.
We don't want to turn the programme into a packed sightseeing schedule. Some experiences are planned; the rest of the time is yours.

A small group allows me to actually observe your practice, make corrections, answer questions and understand where you are starting from.
The first three programmes are being offered at a special founding rate while I build the programme with the people who experience it.
₹25,000 — Shared accommodation
₹32,000 — Private room
Both include:
7 nights · 8 days · 3 meals daily · complete yogic programme · personal guidance · selected Khajuraho experiences
I cannot promise you a particular result in eight days.
I can teach you. I can guide you. I can observe your practice and help you understand it.
What happens through that practice depends on what you bring to it and what you continue afterwards.
Because ultimately, yoga is something we do. It works through practice.
The goal is to leave knowing how to practise.
During the programme, we gradually move from being guided through the practices towards understanding them well enough to continue independently.
You return home with practices that can become part of your own daily rhythm.
Tell me a little about yourself, your experience with yoga, and what brings you here.
Learn the practice. Experience it yourself. Take it home.
