When you have in-person contact with people from other parts of the world, it builds trust and peace, across the world. Because we're really all the same and we need time to see that.
Valerie (Youth Ambassadors PH Host)
Every activity I did and every moment I spent together with my host families were all highlights for me... My first-time seeing snow in Sugarbush, going on a dinner picnic by the reservoir, my first-time going kayaking in Waterbury Reservoir, having every-night dinners with two families united in the last week in Vermont, and potluck dinner with all of our incredible host families.

We have done many PH hosting over the past twenty years and each one has been fun and enriching. Often we did not even know where the country was. Afterwards we always felt a significant connection to that part of the world, and have stayed in touch with many of our guests. Some have visited us subsequently. When our kids went off to college they were more worldly than many of their peers in large part due to these hostings.
Sharon (Long-time PH Host)
'I really love my host family. They made me feel at home and treated me like family. Valerie was like a mom to me, treating me like her own child. Every day was happy, though sometimes a little tiring. My host siblings were really supportive. Talking with them was fun, fantastic, and so comfortable.’
