Awards and Grants

Hallmark

The hall received the Hallmark Award 1 from the East Riding Village Hall Network since 2018.  This is a quality standards scheme for village halls.  The certificate is displayed in the foyer of the Main Hall. 

The photograph was taken at the network meeting of the East Riding Association of Rural Community Buildings at Sutton upon Derwent Village Hall in 2015.  Emma Williams, the guest speaker from Dementia Action Alliance (on the left), is presenting the certificate to Pat Laverack (centre) and Carole Kean (right) from Holme on Spalding Moor Village Hall Committee.

Grants

In 2015 Holme Village Hall applied for a grant for a new boiler from Awards for All, part of the Big Lottery Fund.  They received £5,000 towards the cost of a boiler which was more energy efficient.

Grant from the Parish Council for a new roof to overlay the old roof completed in 2017.

During lockdown the Village Hall received several grants from the East Riding Council
