_______________________________________

In the very beginning, the Hope House had a mission to "give . . . HOPE for the future . . . " [Jer. 29:11] to men seeking to get clean and recover from addiction.

Since 1998 the Hope House in Athens, Georgia, has been able to fulfill that mission by providing a sober living environment for men serious about getting, and staying, clean that is second to none.

Welcome to the HOPE HOUSE RECOVERY,INC., website. Here you can take a look around and decide if the Hope House is the place for you, or someone you love, without any obligations or uncomfortable discussion.

If you are looking for specifics on how to get into the Hope House, or you wish to get on a waiting list, go to ADMISSIONS.

For those interested in the Hope House, but unsure if it is the right right fit or if it meets your requirements, please look at the information under PROGRAM.

To see who makes Hope House Policy and who is in charge of day to day operations, look under STAFF, where there is information on the Hope House Board of Directors and Staff.

Under DOWNLOADS, there are some things which are for newcomers as well as long term guests. Among other things there are copies of the admission packet which an applicant is requested to download, fill out, & submit to our program director. There are also some 12 step worksheets to use when working with a sponsor to go through the 12 steps of recovery.

Click on RESOURCES if you are seeking information related to recovery by providers who are not affiliated with the Hope House. RESOURCES about the Athens-Clarke County area in general are also included - specifically there is information about the local bus system, downtown parking, and other community activities and events. A link to the Georgia DDS and child support recovery can also be found.

Finally, the HISTORY of the Hope House in Athens is set out in the aptly labelled HISTORY page.

Here, there is some background on how several men, who had no hope, came together to create something that could provide it - not only to themselves but to others. Miraculously the system worked.

Through controlled expansion the Hope House was able to grow and provide the same chance (a REAL chance) to others that had fallen prey to a seemingly incurable, hopeless state of mind and body as a result of the effects of alcohol and drugs.
