Pick-up basketball at Johnson center starts off on the basketball courts. Everyone gets a team of 5 people and two teams of 5 play a game against each other. These games are not timed; they are the first to 15 points. A 2 pointer in organized basketball counts as 1 point and a three pointer counts as 2 points. There is also no shot clock or foul count so you can foul as many times as you want but everytime it is a ruff foul the other team can call “foul” and they restart the offense with the ball. Both teams need to keep up with their team's score. These games can get pretty competitive where trash talking and even in some cases fighting occurs. To win the game you have to win by 2 points meaning if the game is 14 to 15 one team has to score two points above the losing team. Whoever the winning team is gets to stay on the court until they lose.
