Hooping Slang

Checkup- it is used to start the next possesion after a made basket

Bucket- scoring a point in a crafty way

Handles- having very good ball handling

im going to hoop- that means to go play basketball/pickup

broken ankles- when someone is dribbling the ball and the defender falls.

yammed on- the offensive player dunks on the defender.

swish- the basketball is shot into the goal without hitting the rim

air ball- the offensive player completly missed the goal entirly, not even hitting the back board.

alley-oop- one offensive player passes the basketball to another offensive player and that basketball player dunks the basketball.
