Special Announcement: Kindoo
In an ongoing church-wide effort to upgrade and standardized meetinghouse security access systems, our buildings will have Kindoo devices installed within the next few weeks. These devices will allow for wireless entry using a smartphone. Access will be granted based on certain callings or manually, as needed, by a stake Kindoo manager. When the setup for these devices is complete, all electronic fobs will be deactivated and hard keys will need to be returned. (This does not include closet keys)
The Stake has a limited number of licenses that can be granted. Those who will have Kindoo will receive an email invitation to download the app. Please WAIT to receive the email before signing in to the Kindoo App.
In order to facilitate a smooth transition, members who require regular access to the building should ensure that their email address is correct in the Church System. If you need assistance with this, please reach out to your Ward Clerk.
For temporary access to the buildings, the following information will need to be provided to your Ward Executive Secretary in advance of your event: Name, email, planned day and time in and out. (Please remember that requesting access to the building is not the same as making a reservation. Reservations will still need to be made with the building schedulers.) Note: This is not an instantaneous process, this information will be forwarded to the Stake Kindoo Manager and will be handled from there, so please allow time for the process when you have a need to use the building.
Thank you for your patience as we make this transition.

Creating a Culture of Zion1
At the beginning of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ in this dispensation, the Savior invited us to “seek to bring forth and establish the cause of Zion.”2 This document seeks to establish what a Zion-like culture looks like, based on what the Savior and the living prophets have emphasized in recent years. While this document seeks to be comprehensive, it is not meant to be complete or final, or to replace other statements, documents, or proclamations of the Church. It is an attempt to identify in simple terms the kinds of behaviors that are demonstrated by a Zion-like people, which we seek to be.
The Hooper Utah Pioneer Trail Stake is:
Christ Centered
As children of God, we focus all we do on Jesus Christ. We “talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ.”3 We love Him and show that love by keeping His commandments and feeding His sheep.4 We make, keep, and renew covenants with Him and allow Him to change us through daily repentance.5 We build our foundation on Him6 through consistent prayer, scripture study, sabbath day observance, and temple worship.7 We trust Him, even when difficult questions or challenges arise and we look to Him to help us resolve those challenges.8 We align ourselves with His living apostles and prophets and seek to follow their inspired direction.9 We strive to fulfill the purpose of this life by becoming like Him through His grace.10
We love others as Christ does11 by being patient, kind, humble, selfless, and not easily provoked.12 We care for and minister to one another13 and we share our time, means and talents to strengthen others and build God’s kingdom.14 We are welcoming as we greet each other and those visiting our gatherings.15 We work together in callings and service and have fun in wholesome recreational activities. We resolve conflict through respect, repentance, and forgiveness.16 We create a space of safety and purpose for everyone, no matter their level of faith, commitment, or ability.17
We seek to gather Israel on both sides of the veil by helping others make and keep sacred covenants with God.18 We love our neighbors and show that love by sharing with them the blessings, opportunities, resources, and associations that we enjoy in the Lord’s church.19 We invite our friends and neighbors to join us in activities, service, and worship. When appropriate, we invite them to meet with our missionaries. We continue to love and fellowship them if they choose to decline.20 We gather our ancestors by doing family history research and by completing ordinances for them in our temples.21
As the Hooper Utah Pioneer Trail Stake, we revere all pioneers who have sacrificed much to “bring forth and establish the cause of Zion.” We draw inspiration from their examples of faith, strength, courage, hard work, and steadfastness in Christ. We do this by always:
