Bishopric Message

Beloved Ward Family,

When was the last time you felt the spirit of the Holy Ghost?  Do you feel the Spirit now as you come to church prepared to take the sacrament?  Do you listen to the promise given in the sacrament prayer, (that they may always have His spirit to be with them).  Are you able to keep the spirit with you as you go throughout your week?  The Holy Ghost is a member of the God-head and should be your constant companion.  But His companionship is sensitive to the way you think, act, talk, and everything you do.  If you have an absence of the spirit in your life, quit sinning.  Now is the time to give up your bad habits.  Read the scriptures every day, get on your knees and pray every morning and every night.  Wholeheartedly follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.  With the start to the new year it's a great time to adjust your attitude.  Examine your life, and part with the things that are holding you back.  May you find the Holy Ghost, and keep him with you as your constant companion.  May He guide you throughout your daily lives.  May He give you the comfort you need and direct you as you make decisions. May you set out to accomplish the work that Heavenly Father has in store for you.  I testify that Heavenly Father loves you and that through Jesus Christ and the blood of His everlasting Atonement, you can become clean.  Don't you ever give up on your pursuit of the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost.
