Scholarships
Each year the Honoring Heroes Foundation awards scholarships to the dependents of Utah Department of Public Safety employees or current board members. In 2023 the Honoring Heroes Foundation presented $118,000 in scholarship funds to 80 recipients.

The 2024 Honoring Heroes Foundation application deadline is March 1, 2024. All applications must be received by mail (see application for mailing instructions) and post-marked no later than the deadline.
2024 HONORING HEROES FOUNDATION SCHOLOARSHIP PARTICIPATION RULES
Must be a high school graduate or current college student.
Must attend an accredited college or university.
Must be enrolled in at least 9 credit hours per semester.
Parent must be a current full-time employee of the Utah Department of Public Safety ot board member.
Must submit an essay of 250 words on your goals and why you are the best candidate to receive this scholarship.
Must submit a transcript.
Must submit a photograph.
Must complete and submit the application.
Recipients may re-apply for the scholarship each year.
Applicants may major in any subject.
First time applicants will be given first priority.
Details of Scholarship Award
Recipients will be awarded a cashier's check to be used for tuition or books at the accredited college of their choice.
Recipients will be contacted in one of the following ways: Personal visit, Phone notification or email notification.
