Education Initiatives
There are various ways we support our partners at the Utah Department of Public Safety in addition to alleviating pressing financial issues. Through our talented Board of Directors we proactively look for opportunities to educate our community to public safety issues. We hope you will learn more about our initiatives.
SLOW DOWN - MOVE OVER
Did you know Utah's Move Over Law has been in place for 20 years? in 2021 we had 26 troopers' vehicles hit while on the shoulder performing their duties. Nationally there were 65 first responders fatally struck in 2021.
To assist the Utah Department of Public Safety with raising awareness we have started our "Slow Down-Move Over" education initiative. We do this through our static display of an actual patrol vehicle that was struck on the roadside.
If you have an event and would like us to display the damaged patrol vehicle contact us. We are always looking for opportunities to share our Slow Down-Move Over message. We've also prepared the education materials here so you can help us spread the message.
