- Empty stomach is the best time for taking the medicine
- Keep a fixed time for taking the medicine (as per your convenience) to avoid missing or skipping any doses. Unless the timing is specified by the physician.
- If there are two medicines to be taken at any particular hour of the day (Morning/evening/ afternoon/ bedtime), a 1 hour interval is necessary between the two medicines unless specified otherwise by the physician.

This is one reason why it is suggested that you should not eat anything for at least 30 minutes before or after taking the medicine so that the tongue has nothing else that interferes with the absorption and action of the medicine.
