Saint Report

Selection of Confirmation Name

Each candidate will choose a Confirmation name/Saint. You may use your baptismal name for your Confirmation name or you may choose a Christian name of your own.

Choosing a Confirmation name may be particularly appropriate when your baptismal name is not a Saint's name.

Things to consider when choosing a Saint:  

• Choose a saint you aspire to emulate in your life.

• Choose a saint that you admire, one that may relate to your life.

• Ask your parents which saint you were named after, and why?

• Saints are ordinary people, like you and I, who strove to do God's will

• Apologists stand out for what they believe in. Does your saint? Do you?

Expectations of Saint Report

The candidate's saint report must be At minimum one page long, typed, and answer the following questions:

1. Who was the saint? Where are they from? What time period did they live?

2. What did he or she do to make him or her a saint? How did they live a life of faith?

3. What do you admire about him or her? How can you relate their life to your own? 

4. How can this person's life be a guide for you today?
