Room parent incentive program
To help encourage more involvement and support from parents, we are starting a new program for the 2024/2025 school year. We are encouraging each general education and special education teacher to have a designated room parent, or a couple of parents, that are willing to serve in this role. Parents can be designated as the room parents for more than one teacher.
Example: Sam has two kids and they serve as both of their kids teacher's room parent. Or Sam has one kid who also receives special education classroom time. They can serve both as the general education teacher and special education teacher's room parent.
What does the room parent(s) do?
Attend the monthly PTO meeting
Pass along important information to the teachers on any upcoming events
Be the liaison for any needs for the classroom
Large projects that might need extra volunteers
Work room projects with deadlines
Will be asked to help organize classroom items for various events
Silent Auction Baskets
Holt Bolt Classroom Supplies
Classroom incentive prizes from fundraising events
What does the classroom get in return?
For every meeting a room parent attends, the designated teachers will get $10 per meeting towards their classroom funds. Funds will be immediately available to the teachers after each meeting.
The classroom and teachers get up to date information on upcoming events and projects completed in a timely manner.
If you are interested in becoming a room parent, please email your student's teacher or fill out the form below.
