If you'd like to become a room parent, please fill out the Membership Form and select your interest in becoming a room parent!
What is a room parent?
Preschool through 4th Grade - There is usually 1 head room parent, and 2 supporting room parents per class.
Plan classroom celebrations – coordinate Halloween, Winter, and End-of-Year parties.
Organize teacher gifts – during the holidays, Teacher Appreciation Week, and at the end of the school year.
Support the teacher – help with classroom needs and communication.
Coordinate parent communication – create a class group text or email list to remind parents about schoolwork, projects, or special days
Collect donations – work with class parents to gather contributions for parties and classroom activities.
5th - 8th Grade - 2 room parents for each grade level, instead of each class.
Plan classroom celebrations and gather supplies - coordinate Winter and End-of-Year parties
These older grade room parents are not allowed to stay for the parties.
Commitment:
2 or 3 in-school class parties, as noted above
