Discussion – 5 points
Is there anyone in the Harry Potter books or movies who was sorted into Gryffindor, but you think they'd be a better fit for a different house? If so, why? If no one, why?
Pick one, and only one, of the following three options. Each one is worth 30 points.
Writing Option - 20 lines minimum
The Sorting Hat has made up almost 1,000 songs for the welcome feasts in its lifetime. It has had enough and wants a break. Create a new song for the Sorting Hat to sing at next years welcome feast. You song needs to be a minimum of 20 lines, and must mention all four houses for full points. You can make the song silly or serious.
Graphics Option
The Sorting Hat has gone missing! We’re unsure if it has gone on vacation, fallen down behind a desk, or perhaps been hatnapped. Whatever the case, we need to get it back, and require your help to do so. Create a ‘Lost’ poster advertising the fact that the hat is missing and offering a reward for its return. The poster can be silly or serious, and you may use any artistic medium you wish. Upload your poster to an image hosting site, and send the link in for grading. Attachments will not be opened. As many HOLers can tell you, I have the artistic skills of a flea, so will be judging based on originality and creativity, not on your graphiccing ability.
Puzzle Option
We’ll start the term off with a basic wordsearch. Simply find the 15 words below and upload an image of the wordsearch to an image hosting site and send in the link. Attachments will not be opened. You will receive 2 points for each word found.
