PERFORMANCE WEEK!

Way to go Winter Cast! It’s such a scary deal to perform in front of your peers, and they did an awesome job! The District sound techs were still installing and checking parts of a new sound system moments before we started, so we had some unexpected technical trickiness, and the kids just rolled with it all. It was just awesome! We can’t wait for you all to see it in person!

For Wednesday morning--Summer Cast actors, please arrive Wednesday morning at 7:30 if you have a mic, and at 8:00 if you do not. Remember, no eating in costumes, so make sure you get up in time to eat some breakfast.  Be sure your base costume is clean and fresh and ready the night before, and that you shower either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.

For evening performances--all actors need to have clean bodies and clean base costumes before each performance. Please make sure they get a good meal before coming to the school since eating in costumes and in the library is not allowed. For the Friday Winter Cast and Saturday Summer Cast performances they are the earlier cast, and will need to quickly change out of costumes as soon as the show is over. There is less than an hour before the next show starts, and costumes have to be available for the arriving cast to use. We suggest actors bring their new blue Frozen tshirt to put on over their base costume for pictures with family and friends after they take off their costumes.

We will have purchased the rights to have a professional videographer filming both cast performances on FRIDAY (not Wednesday and Thursday as originally planned). There will be a QR code posted at performances for purchasing or reserving copies in advance. We will also have a link on the musical website. Please don't video any of the performance with your phones. 

Our concessions team has some special Frozen surprises in store, and we hope you will come ready to purchase fun goodies and gifts! Thank you to those who have donated treats and time to make that happen!

We are following the trend and trying a digital program this year. Make sure you have your phone charged, so you can show your tickets and download the program when you get there. Then please turn your phones to airplane mode when the show starts to reduce interference with the mics. 

Thank you to every parent who has volunteered in any way to make this all possible. I am just in tears thinking about how amazing you all are! This is such an incredibly cool thing we all do together for our kids and our community! Please make sure you download the program at performances and read all the names of all the volunteers, and notice how so many are involved in so many different ways. If we missed anyone, I am so so sorry and still so grateful!!  -Brigita Robertson
