　The Hoko Workcation Place was opened in May 1996 as a place for local children to study on their own after retiring, acquiring a farmer in the mountains of Itoigawa while my father Kazuyoshi was a teacher.

　After my father's death in 2015, my mother used it as a place for tea class, but the activities as a self-study center were temporarily suspended.

　On the occasion of my retirement, I will took over the name "Hoko Workcation Place" and decided to reopen it as a place for workouts by utilizing the private lodging system.

　I would like to provide a place to forget about the city and creative work based on new ideas while refreshing.

　We look forward to seeing you here.

In addition, the "Hoko" in the name is taken from 鉾ヶ岳 (Hokogatake) that can be seen from the window. I heard that a friend of my father's advised  that katakana was good, and he chose　"ホコ".

　I moved to this area in January, and I have a workcation valley concept to further revitalize the shining Kami Hayakawa district. We have recently opened a first-class architect office. At the Hoko Self-Study Center, it is now possible to carry out design supervision of the regeneration of old folk houses as one of its duties.
