We invite you to support our fleet by becoming a member. You don't need to own a boat to join us lakeside and enjoy the Hobie way of life. If you'd like to support us, you can become a member by filling our membership form and pay a modest annual membership ($30 boat owner, $20 Honorary) via PayPal here.
If you own a boat, motorized or sail-powered, over 14 feet in length, you must register it with the state and carry proof of insurance at all lakes in New Mexico. Please be prepared to show these to us at the lake to sail with us. State Park Rangers will also often ask to see them.
You don't have to have a boat to sail with us! Be prepared to have fun! We always welcome extra crew members on our boats, just know that we will require you to
1. Wear a PFD (personal flotation device, and all of us have spares, so don't worry if you don't own one) at all times on our boats (this is the law in New Mexico), and
2. Understand that there are inherent risks in any sport, and sailing/paddle sports are no different. We always conduct ourselves conservatively with rookies and minors, but we cannot control the weather.
