March 22nd through 24th found the fleet at Lake Roosevelt. We had about 10 boats at the event. Scott had a "exhibition" on Saturday morning where we had the boats all lined up hoping to get people to stop by and engage with the fleet.
Saturday's wind was light, but built steadily through the day, becomign really fun in the early afternoon. Saturday's pot-luck was amazing as always. We had a number of newbies including Kevin his wife and grandson on a Hobie 18, Jared and Amanda on a Hobie 16 and miscellaneous other friends!
Saturday night was rainy with lots of wind. We moved the boats to point into the wind, and good thing we did. There were some gusts > 30MPH.
Sunday we woke with snow on the mountains above us, and a bitterly cold wind creating white-caps on the lake. We decided we were fair-weather sailors and opted to head to the restaurant at the Marina once we were packed up for lunch instead.
