Why does the orchestra need a booster organization?

• Mr. Hasspacher needs simple things to improve orchestra class:
  • Carpet for floor.
  • Supplies for instruments and instruments.(buying used instruments for school)
• Field trip support:
  • HS Field trips to Boston, Virginia Beach, Disney to compete in major festivals. $200-1000
  • MS field trips to Canobie Lack, Hershey park, or Wildwood NJ to compete in major festivals. $175-300
  • Parents need to say whether this is or isn't possible. Parents to chaperone. Parents to help fund raise for trips.
• Fundraisers:
  • Small ensembles perform at local events, retirement homes, festivals and businesses for donations or service learning.
  • Secure items to raffle off at concerts.
  • Parent help in organizing and keeping track of students, money, and deadlines.
  • HMTCA doesn't use a travel agency!
• Support
  • HPS has closed down many arts programs in the district.
