Welcome to Spiral Singers 25-26

Auditions Monday Sept 8 OR Tuesday Sept 9

*auditions are open to 7th and 8th graders only who are already registered for a curricular choir

*auditions are held at the same time as musical auditions so kids can do both in one day

*auditions start right after school. Anyone with after school activities (like sports) will audition first

Rehearsals Rehearsals are on Tuesdays from 7:15-7:55 and start Tuesday, Sept 16. 

• Students may enter through the auditorium door between 7am and 7:15

• Students will be marked SF-T (school function tardy) for 1st hour

Keep these expectations in mind

Be on time for rehearsal!   

We will start promptly at 7:15am.  Be on time!  

Don’t miss rehearsal!   

After two absences, you must meet with the director and discuss your attendance.

Communicate    

If you know you’re going to be gone, can’t find a ride to practice, don’t know what to wear to the concert, etc. – see Mrs. Borgen!  YOU are in Spiral Singers, YOU need to be responsible and communicate.

Be a Leader   

This is the only auditioned group in our choral program.  We have high expectations for you in Spiral Singers and in your regular choir.  Poor behavior/participation in rehearsal is grounds for removal from Spiral Singers.

Performances

The Spiral Singers perform on all 7th and 8th grade choir concerts.  We also have the following extra performance dates:

Tues, Oct 7 Varsity Volleyball, National Anthem, 7pm (DIG PINK night - warmups 6:45, done by 7:05)

         Tues, Nov 11 Band Concert 7,8 National Anthem, 7pm (warmups 6:45, done by 7:05)

   Sat, Nov 29            Holiday Hoopla, 4:45pm  downtown Pavillion

   Sun, Dec 7 Concert with River Valley Band, HMS 1pm (WARMUPS 12:40)

Fri, Dec 12 National Anthem, varsity wrestling 5:30 at HHS

        Mon, Mar 9 Children's Concert (w/HS orchestra) HHS auditorium 6pm concert

Thurs, Apr 23         MS Jazz Night, HMS gym 7pm, warmups 6pm

        Mon, May 25       Memorial Day Service, 12:30pm  downtown Pavillion

*singers should make as many performances as possible. With a schedule this full, it is understood that you may sometimes miss due to family events, sports, etc. Just be sure to communicate ahead of time with Mrs. Borgen
