Minnesota’s annual Statewide Honor Choir Projects.

In order to be selected for one of the honor choirs, students and their directors from around the state prepare an on-line “blind” audition that is scored by a selection committee made up of choral directors.  We record and submit the auditions right at school. The audition fee is $18

Students who are chosen to audition are the top singers at HMS who display exemplary behavior and are leaders in their choirs.  The selection process is very competitive.  A maximum of 5 students from each school can be selected for each choir (so a maximum of 5 HMS boys and/or 5 HMS girls) Even if a student does not make it into honor choir, the audition process is a good experience for students who most likely have more auditions in their future.  Fee for selected students is $140 (scholarships are available)
