Minnesota’s annual Statewide Honor Choir Projects.  

sponsored by the American Choral Directors Association of Minnesota (ACDA-MN)

In order to be selected for one of the honor choirs, students and their directors from around the state prepare an on-line “blind” audition that is scored by a selection committee made up of choral directors.  We record and submit the auditions right at school.

Students who are chosen to audition are the top singers at HMS who display exemplary behavior and are leaders in their choirs.  The selection process is very competitive.  A maximum of 5 students from each school can be selected for each choir (so a maximum of 5 HMS boys and/or 5 HMS girls) Even if a student does not make it into honor choir, the audition process is a good experience for students who most likely have more auditions in their future.
