2026年3月20日、濱口教授は梅洋（Yang Mei）助教の招待を受け、厦門（アモイ）大学の文宣楼A203教室にて講演を行いました。
濱口教授は「GaN系VCSEL：現状と展望」と題した講演を行いました。まず濱口研究室の現況、研究の方向性、およびチームメンバーを紹介した後、GaN（窒化ガリウム）系面発光レーザ（VCSEL）の動作原理、開発の歴史、現在の技術的課題、そして将来の応用について発表しました。
厦門大学マイクロナノ光電子工学研究室の博士課程および修士課程の学生らが積極的に参加し、濱口教授と研究手法、デバイス物理、実験技術について熱心な議論や助言を求める姿が見られました。活発なやり取りによって非常にダイナミックな学びの場となり、学術交流がいっそう深まりました。講演後、濱口教授は教職員や学生たちと記念撮影を行い、今回の記憶に残る訪問を締めくくるとともに、将来の共同研究に向けた礎を築きました。

An Excellent presentation on Xiamen University
Recently, Prof. Hamaguchi was invited by Assistant Prof. Yang Mei to share a presentation at Xiamen University, March 20, 2026, in Room A203 of the Wenxuan Building, Xiamen University.
Prof. Hamaguchi delivered a talk titled “GaN‑based VCSELs: Review and Perspectives.” He first introduced the Hamaguchi Lab, including its current status, research directions, and team members, and then shared the operating principles, development history, current technical challenges, and future applications of GaN-based VCSELs. PhD and master’s students from XMU’s Micro‑Nano Optoelectronics Laboratory actively participated, discussed with Prof. Hamaguchi and seeking advice on research approaches, device physics, and experimental techniques. The lively interaction created a dynamic learning atmosphere and fostered deeper academic exchange. After the presentation, Prof. Hamaguchi took photos with faculties and students, marking a memorable visit and laying the groundwork for potential future collaboration.

昨年8月に行われたKyudai Now（ジョホールバル／マレーシア）で、浜本教授と卒業生のSyharin Idris君と再会しました。Syharin君はサウザンプトン大（シンガポール）で講師として活躍しています。浜本教授はFundamental theory of opto-electronics - Waveguide, toward compact breath sensing device -と題して講演しました。
Professor Hamamoto reunited with alumnus Dr. Ahmed Syharin Idris at Kyudai Now (Johor Bahru, Malaysia) last August. Syharin is working as a lecturer at the University of Southampton (Singapore). Professor Hamamoto gave a seminar-talk entitled "Fundamental theory of opto-electronics - Waveguide, toward compact breath sensing device -".
