Hearing Aid Trial Period - Refund Policy

Prescription hearing aids are required by law to offer a trial period. During the trial period, which is often 30-45 days, the buyer may return the hearing aids to the provider for a refund. Many providers will justifiably charge a small fee to cover their cost of fitting the hearing aids.

We recommend that you check store policy and only select OTC hearing aids that offer a trial period and full refund, not store credit, of the purchase price with no holdback for service or other fees.

The trial period is important because it takes some time for your brain to adjust to the new sounds that you are hearing. At least 45 days is preferable.
