Mr Tim Pfeifer - Visiting Ph.D. Student

Tim Pfeifer is a PhD candidate in the department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Chemnitz University of Technology, Germany. He currently focuses on sensor fusion algorithms that are robust against measurements that are affected by non-Gaussian distributed errors. With factor graph based approachs, he uses multi-modal distributions like Gaussian mixtures to describe the estimation problem. In difference to many state-of-the-art algorithms, which rely on manual parameter tuning, He is looking for a solution that adapts itself to the sensor's characteristic. He is a visiting student researcher currently.
