So honored to be named the California Council for the Social Studies Middle School Social Studies Teacher of the Year. Even more special to receive this award with my amazing coauthor Laurel Aguilar-Kirchhoff, the Higher Education Social Studies Teacher of the Year.
This was the awards ceremony where we first met in real life--check out our origins story and how we use edtech to bring history and civics to life in our book: Bring History and Civics to Life: Lessons & Strategies to Cultivate Informed, Empathetic Citizens. It's a good one!
#BetterTogether, truly!
