Before using this handlist, the researcher should be aware of its scope and limitations. It covers only material held in the Manuscripts Department of the Huntington Library, and does not generally include material from Rare Books , Photo Archives, or the Botanical Division. It has been constructed largely from existing finding aids, with only occasional checking having been done to date with the original manuscripts to ensure accuracy.
