Nerves

Nervous tissue is tissue that responds to stimuli and conducts impulses. A collection of neurons form a bundle to make a nerve. Nerve fibres receive and transmit signals, process sensory information, and exert motor influences. Neurons are specialised according to their function.

Functions

1. Sensory - touch, temperature, vibration, light, sound

2. Motor - muscle contraction, gland secretion etc.
