Hiroto Uchihara

I'm a linguist working on  tonal languages of North America, particularly Cherokee/ᏣᎳᎩ  (Iroquoian), Zapotec/Dixsa:, Tlapanec/Mè'phàà, and Mixtec/Tù'un Sàví (Otomanguean). I'm especially interested in phonology, morphology, and morphosyntax of these languages, both from synchronic and diachronic, and from descriptive/typological and theoretical perspectives.

Soy lingüísta y trabajo lenguas tonales de la América del Norte, particularmente el cheroqui/ᏣᎳᎩ (iroquesa), el zapoteco/dixsa:, el tlapaneco/mè'phàà, y el mixteco/tù'un sàví (otomangue). Mis áreas de interés incluyen la fonología, morfología y morfosintaxis de estas lenguas, tanto desde  los puntos de vista sincrónica y diacrónica, como descriptiva/tipológica y teórica.
