SG Weekly Wellness Challenges!

Students Supporting Students is a phenomenal initiative started by a Student Senator, Caroline Miranda.

It is aimed at ensuring students have access to mental health resources across campus.

We plan to continue to work with Caroline to expand and advance this amazing initiative even further.

Continuation of the SG UPD Relations department to increase transparency between the department & Students.

Expanded campus-wide education of crime prevention practices to increase safety.

Continuation of "Chats with the Chief."

Advocation for the accountability of the university to take proper care of students in the case of emergency

Advocation for the onboarding of more crisis intervention personnel as well as trained mental health professionals

Advocation for maximum transparency of policy implementation and plans of action

We plan to push for more leniency in the classroom when it comes to extensions for assignments. 

We will advocate for greater accommodations for emergency absence situations caused by mental health crises and unavoidable situations.

We will advocate for instructors to be required to provide students with either classroom recordings or lecture slides.
