The GI/Liver Conference is an excellent opportunity for trainees to share their GI/Liver learning and to practice their presentation skills. Presentations are given by the trainees (fellows, medicine/surgery residents, students, research staff) and the conference is moderated by the GI attendings. The meeting is attended by all current GI trainees and GI attendings.
The conference occurs on Tuesday afternoons in the Ralph Bernstein, MD and Taft Bhuket, MD GI Workroom.
GI fellows and surgery residents are expected to present at least once during their rotation.
You can present whatever GI/Liver relevant topic you like. We recommend that you pick a topic from the criteria below:
GI research that you are currently participating in
A GI/Liver article from the primary literature
Research methodology topics
A topic relevant to a GI/Liver case you recently encountered
A topic relevant to your future career interests
A topic that you find to be really interesting
Keep the presentation time to 15 minutes. We will then give 5 minutes for questions.
