We would rather say our dogs aren't in a facility, they are in a home. We currently have 3 dogs total, in which they are fed once a day in the morning time a couple cups of food. Sometimes the dogs are given supplements, like eggs, goat milk, or Platinum CJ supplement which helps with shiny coats, joint health, etc. . All of those kinds of things are seasonal and are given when we feel it is best to supplement our dogs.
We often run the dogs, let them in the house, or play with them. But, when they are not with us they have a pen out back with a couple hundred feet to run around in. In that area we have shade, water, and small shelters just incase. In the wintertime, we have a "Puppy room" which is basically a heated breezeway that we have repurposed for the dogs use. Of course we keep water in there, and they do have a dog door to go in and out of their pen and the puppy room whenever they please.
Since we have predators in Montana, we pen the dogs up at night in the puppy room. Or they can come in and sleep in the house when we feel up to it.
When Molly is giving birth, she is kept in the house with a whelping pen to house her puppies. Normally we put her in one of our extra rooms with heaters/AC depending on the season. Of course, she has water available to her at those times and she is fed twice a day with some supplements when she is pregnant.
The Property
We currently live on a ranch with 350 acres of land for our dogs and livestock to live on. The Property is located Just outside of Bozeman, MT on a ranch. The views are so pretty and the dogs enjoy all the birds up here too!
