OK, so who remembers these: 'The Red Book, or TSD. The main service data for almost any vehicle that might book in for a service. The Bible that any mechanic reached for when checking clearances, capacities, torques etc.
They built, year on year into an archive reaching back decades, and each year included new, current and recent models from almost every domestic or imported make.
When they were superceded by microfiche in the late 1980s [?] Glass produced a similar thing for a few years.
Four excerpts below; links to more at the bottom, including Glass's
1981: KITTEN & ROBIN
1983: Kitten and RIALTO [NOTE these data are in fact for the original Rialto'1']
1983 FOX - in fact the early 'first 100' Foxes, the HT-E engine and other upgrades
1985 FOX - the 'post-'83' with the HT-E engine
There is no practical difference in spec over the 3 years below. Reliant had ceased any R & D, except cosmetic, by then. In fact no more changes would be made for as long as production limped on to the end, after the adoption of the pre-engaged starter and the roller-bearing clutch assembly
