Many of you will be familiar with Dan's seminal book "Rebel Without Applause" [Reliant from Conception to Zenith].
[ Published by Bookmarque, 2003, ISBN 1-870519-64-7 ]
It charts the history of Reliant in depth, and all their models, from the 1930s to the height of their productiveness in the 1970s. Written very professionally, yet absorbingly readably, while he was still a design student in love with his Kitten and fascinated by everything Reliant, it is a must-read for anyone interested in Reliant.
A second book, covering the later years and cars, never materialised, as there were gaps in the available information which no-one stepped forward to fill, and the project was overtaken by events, namely Dan's expanding interests and eventual career as a design guru in diverse areas, in fact almost all areas of society, and his teaching professorship.
