Hidden Fire Art is the creative name for my art.

I am Jackie Cornish, science trained, a mother and a teacher, now a Grandma and having fun investigating the creative side of my personality.

At first I shared my art with only a few people, now that spark of creativity is growing into a flame and I’m happy for the ‘hidden fire’ to be seen by more people.

I like trying out different art forms and techniques, including fabric art. Colour and shape interest and inspire me. I don’t aim for a piece of work to be photo-realistic, I don’t like to copy photographs, I like to use my own creative ideas.

I go to an art class once a week, and some of my work is a result of challenges set by our excellent tutor Christine Wilmshurst - she teaches, advises and then encourages us to interpret the challenges in our own way.
