💬 Who can join HESC?
HESC is open to enlisted spouses of all branches of the U.S. military. Anyone with base access to Joint Base Pearl Harbor–Hickam is welcome, including Guard, Reserve, and retired spouses.
💳 Is there a membership fee?
Yes. Annual dues help cover the cost of club events, supplies, and administrative expenses. As a volunteer-run organization, 100% of your membership fee supports club activities. Membership runs from June 1st thru May 31st (but we usually keep things low key in the summer).
🎉 What kinds of events does HESC host?
We host a variety of events, including social gatherings, family-friendly outings, volunteer opportunities, and community-building activities. There's something for everyone—whether you're looking for a fun night out or a low-key way to connect.
📍Where do events take place?
Events are usually held on or near Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. We try to choose locations that are accessible to as many members as possible.
🤝 Do I have to attend everything?
Not at all! We know life can be busy, so you can attend as much or as little as you like. Some members come to every event; others pop in when they can. All are welcome.
👶 Can I bring my kids to events?
Some events are family-friendly and others are adults-only. We’ll always note the event type in advance so you can plan accordingly.
📣 How can I stay updated on events and announcements?
Once you join, you’ll be added to our members-only communication channels. We also share updates via email and private social media groups.
💼 Can I volunteer or serve on the board?
Absolutely! We're always looking for members who want to get involved. Whether you’re interested in helping out occasionally or taking on a leadership role, we’d love to hear from you.
