This Privacy Policy applies to the HI-Bots applications (browser version and apps for iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows) operated by Hunziker Inspirationen GmbH. It is separate from the privacy policy of the website hunziker-inspirationen.com.

When you use the HI-Bots applications, we process the following data:
Account data: Email address, password (stored in encrypted form), and optionally a profile picture/avatar.
User profile: Information about your family or caregiving situation and your role (e.g., parent, legal guardian, teacher, educator), which you voluntarily provide during use.
Chat content: Your chat messages and the responses generated by the HI-Bots.
Conversation summaries (session summaries): Summaries of previous conversations so that the HI-Bots can continue earlier discussions when you return.
Technical data: Device and connection information required for the technical operation of the application.
Your account and the above data are synchronized across devices, allowing you to access the same conversation history in the browser version and the mobile/desktop apps.
Please do not enter names, addresses, locations, or any other personally identifiable information about third parties in the chat.
We process your data to:
Provide personalized responses tailored to your situation as a parent, caregiver, or teacher.
Maintain continuity across multiple conversations.
Manage your account and provide access to the application.
Operate, maintain, and improve the application.
If you have separately given your consent, analyze chat content for research, analysis, and product development purposes (see Section 9).
Your data is processed based on:

The performance of the user agreement between you and Hunziker Inspirationen GmbH.
To operate the HI-Bots applications, we use the following external service providers acting on our behalf:
Anthropic PBC (USA) – Processes your chat inputs to generate responses using the Claude AI model. We use Anthropic's commercial API directly (api.anthropic.com) without additional intermediaries. Anthropic retains submitted inputs and outputs for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention purposes and does not use this data to train its AI models. Data processing is governed by Anthropic's commercial terms, including a Data Processing Addendum with Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers to the United States.
Vercel Inc. (Hosting) – Hosts the application's server infrastructure. Data is processed in a data center located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany (EU).
MongoDB Atlas (Database) – Stores account information, user profiles, chat history, and images/avatars.
Firebase Authentication (Google Ireland Ltd.) – Used solely to verify your identity when you sign in with a Google account.
Apple Inc. and Google LLC – Process authentication information when using "Sign in with Apple" or Google Sign-In and process payment information for in-app purchases through their respective app stores.
RevenueCat Inc. (USA) – Manages subscriptions and purchases. Payments on mobile devices are processed through Apple's or Google's in-app purchase systems, while browser and desktop purchases are processed through RevenueCat Web Billing. We do not store payment card or credit card information ourselves.
Resend (USA) – Sends registration confirmation emails and password reset emails on our behalf.
The application currently does not use analytics, tracking, or crash reporting services (such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or Sentry).
Some of the service providers listed above (particularly Anthropic, RevenueCat, and Resend) are located in or process data in the United States.
For these international data transfers, we rely on the providers' contractual data protection safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent legal mechanisms.
Your chat history, session summaries, and user profile are stored until you delete the relevant chat or permanently delete your account.
There is currently no automatic deletion period.
Some technical service providers (such as hosting, database, email, or AI providers) may retain logs or backups for a limited period after account deletion in accordance with their own retention policies (for example, Anthropic retains data for up to 30 days). These records are automatically deleted afterward.
You may permanently delete your account at any time directly within the application (under Account Settings).
When your account is deleted, all personal data stored in our database is permanently removed.
A data export feature (such as PDF or JSON export) is planned for a future release but is not currently available.
If you have provided separate consent during registration, we may analyze your chat content for research, analytics, and product development purposes to improve the HI-Bots applications.
This consent is entirely voluntary, is not required to use the application, and may be withdrawn at any time through your account settings.
Data processed for these purposes is not shared with third parties other than the service providers listed above.
You have the right to:
Access your stored personal data.
Correct inaccurate information.
Request deletion of your data.
Restrict processing.
Request data portability.
Withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

The HI-Bots applications are intended for adult users, particularly parents, legal guardians, teachers, and educators.
The applications are intended only for individuals aged 18 years or older.
The HI-Bots applications are currently available in Switzerland and member states of the European Union.
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy whenever our data processing practices change.
