Home Learning Challenges
Don't forget to share your learning with your teacher via email or on Seesaw!
Learn another language and communicate (written and/or oral) in the language as evidence
Investigate an era in history and present what you learn
Design a board game based on a theme of your choice
Create a piece of music or dance and share it
Design and make a piece of clothing, a toy or decoration using sewing skills
Design plans for and/or construct a model of a building of your choice
Learn a new craft or a musical instrument
Do something for the environment: Plant a plant, make a feeder for an animal etc.
Make a 'perfume' using flowers from the garden
Design your own challenge!
Life Skills
Learn to tell the time
Follow a recipe
Help out by learning how to do the laundry
Wash the dishes after breakfast and/or dinner
Help put the dishes away
Learn how to sew a button
Learn how to change a tyre (on a car or a bike!)
Learn how to knit
Weed the garden
Mow the lawn, with supervision!
Reading
Listen to your child read each day - ask questions about what might happen next or to recount what they have read.
Read to your child each day as many times as possible. These could be story books, poems, songs etc.

Write a story every day. Use the word card below as a support. Share your stories with Google docs or on Seesaw.
Write a book review - e.g. What was the story about? Who would you recommend it for? What was your favourite part?

Encourage addition and subtraction using money. How much change?
Baking is a perfect way to measure mass and capacity and practise fractions
Tell and write the time in 24 hour and analogue - do this at certain times of the day. Ask your children to help create a timetable
