Salman Ibrahim Saad is a Lecturer in Industrial & Production Engineering at MIST, Bangladesh, holding a B.Sc. in IPE (CGPA 3.84/4.00, 2024). His research integrates machine learning with mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) to address resilient supply-chain design, data-driven decision-making, and large-scale optimization challenges. His thesis pioneered a Gurobi-based model for electric vehicle routing with split deliveries, reducing mileage and charging downtime, and he now extends this work to stochastic demand frameworks. At MIST, Salman teaches operations research, statistics, and data analytics using industry-standard tools (CPLEX, Gurobi, Python, SPSS) while supervising logistics-optimization capstones. His industry experience includes automating KPI dashboards and inventory systems at Nestlé and Unilever. As former President of MIST's IEOM Student Chapter, he led professional development initiatives. Salman is now planning to pursue doctoral degree to extend his optimization works further.
