Our school garden would not flourish with out the support of our contributors. We are thankful for all there contributions. Below is a list of all the people that had a helping hand in our endeavor.
Fairway Landscape & Nursery constructed our rain garden. They put the plan SARA drew up into action.
Happy Earth Garden is a local farm run by Chip Thompson. Chip provides us with organic vegetable plants and seeds. He also brings a wealth of information on best gardening practices.
Hector Garcia Middle School PTA has supported our garden program by providing funds and volunteering their time to maintenance the community garden.
New Earth has donated and provided great prices on mulch, soil, and compost. The quality of their materials are the best.
San Antonio River Authority (SARA) helped us design, fund, and implement our rain garden.
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension has been helping us with our school garden since day one. They continue to provide professional development for our teachers, plants, and best gardening practices. Texas A&M has also help provide funds for an extensive drip irrigation system for our vegetable garden beds.
Whole Kids Foundation funded our first 14 raised vegetable beds which included lumber, soil, along with garden supplies. They also provided curriculum materials and garden supplies.
